In the early morning of March 11, Bill Arvan was able to make a video call to Oleg in Rivne, Ukraine.
His home is quite near the airport in Rivne, and the airport has been littered with bombs. His family is with him and they still stay in Rivne.
He is a pastor of a church Rivne, so is involved in the church's humanitarian work at this time.
This is described in the email below from Oleg.
Praise God! Oleg is alive!
Greetings, Bill.
We truly thank you for your big heart for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Thank you for your prayers and your desire to help those suffering from the war.
Our church also provides assistance to refugees and temporarily displaced persons.
People from Kyiv live in the House of Prayer, our brothers are involved in the deportation of refugees from Kyiv and Chernihiv.
We feed them, resettle them, and transport those who wish to the border with Poland.
Thank you and please continue to pray for Ukraine. I received money (in hryvnias) on the card.
Thank you, we will buy refugee products for them tomorrow.
