Ministry Overview » A Converted Belarusian Marxist
Andrei was a skeptic, staunch Marxist, and self-avowed scientific communist. As an intellectual, he couldn’t imagine an alternative world view. But as he was working on a linguistic project, he dug out his mother’s old Russian Bible and then purchased a German Bible to compare the two languages. As he began reading in Genesis, he became so intrigued he set aside the German translation so as not to be distracted from the narrative. God spoke to him through The Word, and he repented before the God he had discounted. After taking the librarian training course with his wife, they now teach other librarians to minister in their home country of Belarus.
